Hugh Henslee "Lee" Lankford

Funeral services will be Wednesday August 20, 2025 at 12:30 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Vic Jungkurth officiating. Place of rest will be in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday August 20th 11:30 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Antioch First Baptist Church.
Hugh Henslee “Lee” Lankford, age 79 of Smyrna, TN passed away Friday August 15, 2025. Born in Nashville, TN he was the son of the late Odell Lankford and was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Lankford. He worked for the department of Employment with the State of Tennessee and enjoyed many years of Civil War re-enacting with his first wife and children. For many years he volunteered as Docent at the Sam Davis Home dressed in period clothing. He was an active lifelong member of his church acting as Deacon Emeritus, Royal Ambassador Director as well as serving on the Finance Committee. The grandchildren have memories of playing outside when they were younger sword fighting. He was an U.S. Marine Corp veteran and a member of Antioch First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 9 years, Margaret Lankford of Smyrna, TN; son, Jason Lankford (Alicia) of Smyrna, TN; daughter, Wendy Bullock of Antioch, TN; 5 grandchildren, Micah Bullock, Adrian Bullock, James Bullock, Gage Lankford, Christopher-Paul Smith.
