Alice Jane Thompson, age 70, of Dickson, TN, passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2026. A memorial service will be held at Taylor Funeral Home. Date and time will be announced soon.

Alice was born on February 22, 1956, in Albany, Oregon to the late Andrew Schatz and Eunice McDonald Schatz. Alice earned an Associate degree of Arts and retired from the United States Navy after 27 years of service. She enjoyed running 5k’s, winning many races for her age group. She was married to Paul Thompson for 44 years.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Thompson of Dickson, TN, her daughter, Ruth Ann Thompson of Dickson, TN, her siblings, Edward Schatz, Peter Schatz, Lucy Shindler, Sue Cearfoss, Rosemary Schatz, several nieces and nephews.
