Anita K. Proctor, known by most as “Puddin”, age 57 of Slayden, passed from this life on June 20, 2026, at her home. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 23, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Place of rest will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
Anita was born on May 7, 1969, in Dickson, Tennessee. She most recently worked as a foreman for The Parent Company. Prior to that, she was employed by the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office. She was married to her loving husband, Michael Owen “Mike” Proctor. Anita loved being on her farm, her horses, and riding her motorcycle.
Survivors include her husband: Mike Proctor; her children: Tara Clark and Lukin Reign; her bonus daughter: Roni Proctor; her chosen daughter: Chelsea Hardin; her mama: Caron Mann; her grandchildren: Gabriel Clark, Marlee-Jain Clark, and Zoannah “Zoey” Neely; her chosen family: Jessica and Tony Brunett; her siblings: Jimmy Mann (Cindy Neblett), Brady “Bubba” Mann, Jr. (Sadina), Abby Mann, Eric Reynolds (Pam), Lynn Mayberry (Gary), Larry Mann (Rebecca), Patti Reynolds and Suzanne Reynolds; and her mother: Molly Reynolds.
She was preceded in death by her daddy: Brady Mann, Sr; her brother: Mark Reynolds; and her father: Samuel Reynolds.

Anita was one of the strongest women I known. If she faced any troubles in life she hit them head on. I admire her strength. She encouraged me in a lot of ways . I will always be grateful to know she loved me as I loved her. Rest easy my beautiful cousin. God speed .
