Ms. Billie Anita Forgy Mangrum, age 88, formerly of Bon Aqua, passed away on May 11, 2026, at NHC of Dickson. A funeral service will take place on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Jordan Eiras officiating. Place of rest will be in the Sullivan-Mangrum Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Billie was born on May 18, 1937, in Nashville, TN, to the late James Douglas Forgy, Sr. and Elizabeth Virginia Marshall Forgy. She was a longtime, devoted member of the Parker’s Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John E. “Tooter” Mangrum, Sr.
Survivors include her son: John Mangrum (Deana) of Fairview; her sister: Linda Cox of Dickson; her brother: James Forgy of Ashland City; and her grandchildren: Angel Mangrum, Abigail Mangrum, and Emily Mangrum.

I am so sorry about aunt Billie im praying for the whole family Fonda has drs. appt friday afternoon at 1230 and we wont be able to be there i want to be but just wont be able to aunt billie will be sorely nissed she was one of the cornerstones of the family i hate seeing my relatives pass but i truly beleve aunt billie is rejoicing in heaven right now with uncle tiooter and jesus and all the rest of the family that was saved and made it to heaven i love all of yall we need yalls prayers fonda is not doing well at all .
A wonderful lady! John went to school with our girls! We stay in contact at different functions! She loved her son John to the moon and back!
She will be missed!
