A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will take place on Tuesday, October 15 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Billy Gourley, age 68 of Dickson, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was born on November 16, 1950 to the late Luther and Mamie Craddock Gourley. He was an environmentalist with EMPE in Nashville for many years. Billy loved fishing, camping at the river and watching NASCAR. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. If anything needed to be fixed or worked on, he was the man to call.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wilbur Gourley and Henry Gourley; and his sister, Evelyn Dixon.
Survivors include his soulmate of 24 years, Joy Little; his daughter, Scarlett McMeen (Joseph); his stepchildren, Todd McElyea, Chuck McElyea, Todd Stacey, Amanda Stacey and Leeza Parker (Darrell); his grandchildren, Cash McMeen, Alyssa Stacey, Sierra Aldridge, and Courtney Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
