“In loving memory of Charvante “Chino” List
Rising Setting
July 1, 1998 April 11, 2026
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 5PM from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday beginning at 4PM until the time of service.
On July 1, 1998, Charvante’ began his earthly journey, born of his loving mother Schetiga List/Nightingale at the Meharry Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Chino was one of God’s gifted children. A self-proclaimed soldier of God; who had a fearless demeanor. A loving and generous heart. Chino didn’t mind sharing a laugh or creating funny moments. He also didn’t mind protecting his family, his children, or his integrity.
On Saturday, April 11, 2026, our loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, Uncle and friend, transitioned from this earth, on his journey to his heavenly home.
Chino was a lover of sports. As a youth he played football, basketball and soccer. The one sport that he loved the most is basketball, which he was the most talented at playing. His favorite player was LeBron James, and no matter what team he played for, that was Chino’s team.
Chino is survived in this life by his children, Anaya Johnson, Charvante List Jr, and Aviani List. His loving mother, Schetiga List/Nightingale; Siblings: Domonique List, Anthony Nightingale Jr., Jahmiya List, Malikhai List and Antwain Gatlin Jr., Grandmothers, Brenda London and Carolyn Taylor, Grandfathers, Ivan (Terri) Turner and Henry Jones, Nephews, Amarion List and Gabrian List, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Chino was preceded in departure by great-grandparents Clarence and Althea Turner and Callie Mae Moss/List, and his loving cousin Nathaniel Sullivan.
Chino was loved dearly by his children, family and friends, and will truly be missed.
