Daisy Duke Eatherly, age 96 of Nashville, TN and Dickson, TN died June 13, 2026, at Summit Medical Center.
She was born in White Bluff, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Lee Duke Sr. and Harriett Richardson Duke. Daisy was the widow of the late J. D. Eatherly. She was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela White, her stepson Steve and a brother Lee Duke, Jr.
Daisy was one of Dickson County’s most cherished citizens. Throughout her years she contributed back to her community faithfully. She was instrumental in building and operating several successful businesses.
She was never afraid of stepping “outside the box” to try something new. She built the former Dairy Dip in Dickson, Broadway Drive Inn in Dickson, and the former Skating Rink in Dickson: all of these in her early years of business! She spent time working in the Tennessee State Library and Archives and in her later years of service, she was very successful in the real estate business.
Daisy loved her years of traveling. Some was in the mission field in China. Daisy was always active in state and local politics. As some would say, she was never a member of any organized political party…She was a DEMOCRAT… formerly serving as a Tennessee Delegate to Democrat convention during the Clinton and Gore years.
Daisy was a member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ and the Lebanon Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include her children, Barry Burnette, Vickie Corbitt, Rhonda Burnette and Martene Beasley; her brother, Donald Ray “Skipper” Duke; her sister, Anita Martin; many grandchildren; her stepchildren Sandra Eatherly, Donnie Eatherly and Sue Ann Eatherly; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her friend and caregiver, Dana Ridley.
