Dalton was a loving husband, son, and friend whose life touched the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered for his loving heart, his wonderful sense of humor, and the laughter he brought into the lives of others.
One of the most important parts of Dalton’s life was his love for his wife, Maggie. Their bond was a special part of his story, and the love they shared will forever hold a place in the hearts of those who knew them.
Dalton had a personality that could bring a smile to anyone’s face. He was always cracking a joke, finding ways to make people laugh, and bringing humor into everyday moments. His laughter and quick wit were part of what made him so special.
A proud Tennessee Titans and Kentucky Wildcats fan, Dalton enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams. Whether talking football, watching a game in person or on the TV he found joy in the things that mattered to him.
Above all, Dalton was a loving son and a loyal friend. He meant so much to the people in his life, and the love he gave will never be forgotten. Though words can never fully express the impact a person has on those who love them, Dalton’s memory will live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love that remains.
Dalton will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever be a part of the hearts of those who love him. Rest peacefully, Dalton. You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts. Your laughter, your love, and the memories you gave us will live on forever.
Dalton was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Dennis Roper.

I’m so sorry that Dalton had to go through such a cruel disease. It hit close to home as my son, John Holt, also succumbed to Glioblastoma at the age of 31 in 2012. And, yes, it’s the good memories of his joy and love for life, soccer, Jesus, and family that has given us peace. Harpeth Hills has always been a comfort when I needed to just stop by.
