Erik Kendle Newton, age 45 of Bon Aqua, TN died on Friday, May 29, 2026 at TriStar Horizon Medical Center. Family and friends will gather for a memorial visitation from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Monday, June 1, 2026 at the Taylor Funeral Home.
Erik was a loving, kind, gentle soul. He was active in the Developmental Services Day Program. He enjoyed going out in the community with his support person. He liked going to the YMCA to exercise and having lunch with all his friends. He loved his family and looked forward to all the special moments shared with them. He especially enjoyed interacting with the children and they all loved their Uncle Erik. He liked to be outside and he liked playing basketball. His favorite pastimes were drawing, coloring pictures and spending time with his two little dogs. They loved him and were very protective of him. He loved everything life had to offer him. Everyone that met him felt his joy and kindness. He was truly a blessing.
Erik was preceded in death by his father, Derk Newton; sister, Kristen Newton; grandparents, Lettie Tinsley, William Tinsley, Shirley Casamento, Joseph Casamento, uncles, Joey Casamento, Bill Tinsley.
Erik is survived by his mother, Wanda Newton; sister, Tracy Norton; aunt, Connie (Dave) Sabo; niece, Courtney (Dylan) Kyle; nephew, Michael Norton; niece, Keira Terranova; 3 great nieces, Addison Duvall, Sadie Duvall, and Lilly Norton.

He was a very sweet and kind person. Always made us smile every time
we saw him.

I am sooo sorry to see this..I loved and enjoyed babysitting erik and his sister as they were little children..I’m really hurt to see his passing..I’m so sorry to his mother Wanda and his sister Tracy and all other family..my condolences
