Gary Dale Glass, age 70, of Cumberland Furnace, passed away on May 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Gary was born on October 20, 1955, and enjoyed the simple things in life. He found happiness in the outdoors, good music, and time spent with those he loved. He especially enjoyed fishing, playing music, hunting ginseng in the hills, and always finding ways to make a dollar. Gary will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for family, and the many memories he created with loved ones throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Glass and Betty Crowe (Fussell), and his brothers, Mike Glass and Jerry Glass.
Gary is survived by his children, Talia Severs (Kenny Severs), Galen Glass (Jennifer Slavens), Nathan Glass (Kurstyn Oliphant), Preston Glass (Cheyenne Glass), and Dawson Glass, along with their mother, Dana Glass. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Elizabeth Glass, Christopher Glass, Maleah Glass, Colton Severs, Joshua Slavens, Jason Slavens, Riley Glass, Waylen Glass, Damon Glass, Preston Glass, Mariella Glass, Andilyn Glass, Ryker Glass, and Madisyn Glass, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family.
