Funeral services will be Sunday December 7, 2025 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Warren Bowman officiating. Visitation with the family will be Saturday December 6th from 4 to 7 PM and on Sunday from 11 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with end of life expenses.
Gary Lee Work, age 77 of Dickson, TN passed away Thursday December 4, 2025. Gary was born on June 18, 1948, to the late Ivan Lee and Martha Jean Semore Work and was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Work; special aunt, Georgie Semore; brothers-in-law, Mike Moskowitz and Bill Burgess; sister-in-law, Mary M. Burgess. Gary worked many years for Holt’s Produce in Dickson then became an Electrician for Enterprise Electric in Nashville where he retired. Along with his brothers, the Work Brother’s Farm started and raised the finest vegetables in Dickson until he got sick with COPD. His passion was the family farm. Happy times on the farm and seeing Gary driving the tractor will always be treasured.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Martha “Martie” Work of Dickson, TN; son, Kenneth Work (Shirley) of Burns; daughter, Billie Jo Work of Bon Aqua, TN; brothers and sisters, Joyce Frazier (Jimmy), Jack Work (Marilyn), Betty Durham (Robert), Ronnie Work (Shirley), Donna Williams (Tim); Paula Work, David Work (Gayle), Sam Givens (Al), Lisa Shelton (Andy); 2 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

My thoughts are with you and your family and friends after this terrible loss. I wish my health was better so I could come pay my respects and give you a hug but sadly I’m unable to do that. I’m sure there will be no lack of people doing it so you will be far from alone. ❤️
