JC Harris, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN, with his loving wife by his side. His service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Taylor Funeral Home with visitation from 3-5pm and a celebration of life at 5 with Bro. Gene Price and his grandchildren sharing words of comfort. JC’s ashes will be placed alongside his children at the Albright Cemetery in VanLeer, TN.

JC was born August 28, 1941, the youngest child of 7, to Thomas and Daisy Brunson Harris in Erin, TN.
JC graduated from Houston County High School in 1961. He was a proud veteran of the US Army and was honorably discharged on July 19, 1964. He then went on to graduate from Clear Creek Bible School in Pineville, KY, in 1968.
JC gave his heart to Jesus at the age of 19 in a potato patch with his mom by his side and was baptized shortly after. As a minister, he preached at various churches and was always ready to share his faith with others and bring mankind to Christ.
JC valued his role of being a husband, dad, and pepaw. He was a hard worker who took pride in providing for his family. JC worked at Trane Co in Clarksville, TN, where he retired on December 31, 2016, at the age of 74. He retired after 43 years and 8 months. While there, he made many friends and were still connected to many of them in retirement. JC, also, worked at several places part-time to keep busy.
JC is survived by his wife, Cathey Albright Harris, where their 4 months of dating turned into a 56-year marriage. His son Joshua Harris and 5 grandchildren who were the light of his life: Clinton Scott, Camellia Harris, Breiana Harris, Kenzie Harris and Zzaylon Harris, sister-in-law Barbara Hart, special nephews and niece: Barry Hart, Tim Albright, Debbie Albright, devoted friends: Teresa Irizarry, Steve Sumner, Danny Black, and Danny French, and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents Thomas and Daisy Brunson Harris, two infant sons Micah Harris and Jonah Harris, daughter Joanna Harris Bedel and his siblings: Will Allen Harris, Clifton Harris, Marie Coakley, Francis Lucille Baggett, Madie Milam, and Mary Herndon, and treasured brothers-in-law Dave Hart, Gene Albright, and sister-in-law Margie McNew Albright, and many other loving family and friends.

Uncle J , I will never forget the advice you gave me as a young man. I know you are up in Heaven with all our family and having some great conversations with the Lord.
JC was a true friend. I felt so fortunate to have him in my life. I worked with him at trane. He ensured the excellence in his life included being employed at trane. The produces excellence was always his mindset. I’ve never seen a caring and hard driven person as JC. He will truly be missed……
