A Celebration of Johnny’s life will be conducted on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2 pm from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held from 12 Noon until time of service. John Francis “Johnny” Lagan – Age 62, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Elena Matteucci Lagan; sister, Marcella Ladd, grandson, Dylan Shannon and brother-in-law, Jeffrey Ladd.
Mr. Lagan is survived by his wife of 20 years, Princess Lagan; sons, Jason Lagan and Shawn Yarbrough; daughters, Kelly. Lagan Spelman, Angel Yarbrough and Krystal Yarbrough; grandchildren, Nicholas Yarbrough, Aaron Yarbrough, Garrett Shannon, Keyshawn Yarbrough, Danielle Shannon, Alex Lagan and Annabella Yarbrough; sister, Mary Margaret Lagan; brothers-in-law, Paul Strickland, Timothy Strickland and Joseph Strickland; sister-in-law, Jewell Grimes; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Johnny and Princess were married 20 years ago. Their marriage was and is a strong loving example to all marriages. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Johnny was a member of Second Street Church of Christ. He enjoyed Titans Football, gardening, landscaping and the Smoky Mountains.
His passion was found in helping others as a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Counselor. His care for mentoring people with addictions had no boundaries.
