Mr. John Joseph Lindsay, age 94 of Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 13, 2026, at Christiana Care Hospital in Aston, Pennsylvania. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, TN. Pastor Wes Sesler will officiate.

He was born on October 18, 1931, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late John Lindsay and Catherine Donahue Lindsay. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953. After his service in the military, he became a painter by trade.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Ann Lindsay; a daughter: Donna Reinmiller; and his sisters: Elizabeth Matrua and Catherine Turner.

Survivors include his son: John Turner, Jr. of Pennsylvania; his brother: Tom Lindsay of Dickson, TN; his grandchildren: Danny Achuff and Bobby Achuff, both of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.

  2. To the family of Mr. John . We at Lutheran Knoll’s will always remember Mr. John, especially when going in/from the community room. He had his place at the table which everyone respected.
    Mr. John had such a sense of humor that would keep a smile on your face. He was very thoughtful of those around him. He was a greeter to our family no matter the age, making one welcomed. Mr. John will always be a part of the Lutheran Knoll’s community.
