Joseph Gary Burgess, age 75 of White Bluff, TN died on June 11, 2026. A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
Joseph was born on February 12, 1951 in Nashville, TN. He was a son of the late Joseph Gary Burgess, Sr. and the late Bessie Brown Foster. He was a graduate of Hume-Fogg High School in Nashville, TN. He moved to White Bluff, TN in 1989. Joseph was a good, honest, hardworking man. He was an electrician by trade and worked in electrical sales. He was employed with Williams Wholesale Supply for over 30 years. He enjoyed listening to music and watching mystery tv shows, with the Agatha Christie series among his favorites. For many years he attended services at the White Bluff Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Rae Burgess.
Joseph is survived by his daughters, Linda May Floyd (Kenneth Neal Hamilton) and Laura Moore Smithers (Shawn); his siblings, Joyce Bess (Garland), and Tom Burgess; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and his cat, Callie.
