June Rebecca Cathey Estes, age 85 of Craggie Hope, TN passed away on Sunday April 26, 2026 at the Harmony at Bellevue. June AKA “June Bug” was born in Craggie Hope, TN to the late Robert DeWitt Cathey and Louise Olds Cathey and her companion, Tommy Sloan. June discussed many happy stories being raised in Craggie Hope with her large family. She was raised in the Craggie Hope Methodist Church as a little girl where she devoutly continued her faith until her last breath. Her devotion to her late husband Billy was unimaginable. At his death they were married for 63 years. Although her heart was broken after losing their baby, Cornelia at a very young age, and later losing her daughter, Cheryl Dunn along with her son, Billy Jr. “Bubba” three months apart.
June was a little reserved, shy until she knew you. As you became acquainted with her she opened up like a beautiful rose. She loved and adored all things regarding her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved also all her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Her little precious doggie Jake was her everything. Rescued from Lovers Leap on a routine walk one day with her late husband Billy. She became a much recognized caregiver in her later years. A superb homemaker with many skills of great quality. She did everything in life without expecting anything in return. She once saw her aunt on the ground outside her window who had passed and before the officials came she said, please let me wash her feet since she was barefooted and had some dirt on them. What a special Godly woman to do such a kind act. Lastly she might have been small and quiet at times but with her red hair, tiny stature she could become a little fireball. May she Rest in Peace.
In addition to her late parents she is preceded in death by her siblings; Robert D. Cathey, Louis Gene Cathey, James O’Neil Cathey, Timothy Cathey and Mickey Jo “Bo” Cathey.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Teresa Estes Fratangelo along with her children, Andrea and Andrew Fratangelo and their father Richard Dino Fratangelo; grandchildren from her late daughter Cheryl, Amanda Dunn Winchester, William “Buddy” Dunn, Jr. and their father William Dunn as well as her great grandchildren, Arista Repasky, Gavin and Chloe Eakles; Tamara Baker Estes wife of her late son Billy Jr. “Bubba” and their children, Ashley Louise Lunenberger (Stephen), Clint O’Neil Estes (Candice), Marcia Renea Corbitt (Justin) and great grandchildren, Olivia and Ethan Lunenberger and Xander and Rebecca Corbitt; siblings, Ronnie Cathey, Patricia Hall, Maxine Deal (Jimmy) and Burma Kay Carr.
A very special thanks to Harmony at Bellevue and her nurses and caregivers; Adoration Hospice and special friend, Donna Finch. The family wants to thank all the family and friends that have come to visit her when her health was declining. Also everyone who has been apart of her celebration of life.

My Daddy and family loved June so very much. I was so honored to get to know her and Billy. I am so very thankful to them for the hospitality and the caring that they showed me and my family during my difficult time. All of the prayers, and food, it was so very kind. I pray for the family and community that we can find solace in the fact she is a t peace with the Lord and her loved ones. To Teresa: I know you have lost so much in recent years, Losing your mother is something that hits a little different. A pain that never quite goes away. She is with you always and will never leave your side. My prayers will be with you always. She was a beautiful soul. May she rest in peace.
