Funeral services for Mary Inez Shuler, age 75 of Bon Aqua, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. John Hart officiating.  Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, March 28th from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.  Mrs. Shuler died March 19th at Horizon Medical Center.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Mary was a daughter of the late Charles Henry and Inez Estes Blunkall and was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony David “Tony” Shuler; her brother, Romie Blunkall and by her brother-in-law, Bill Black. She retired from retail management from a department store and she was a member of Brooksburg Baptist Church in Brooksburg, Indiana.

Mary’s family meant everything to her.  In her younger days, bowling was very much a part of her life because other family members were involved in it, too.  Not only league bowling, but also as a recreation with her loved ones.  She also enjoyed gardening, especially working in her flowers.  And she loved crocheting as her “indoor pastime.”  Mary also loved her pets and treated them as if they were her children!

She is survived by eight children, Michael D. Sims (Katherine) of Nashville, Diane French (Jessie) of Bon Aqua, Susan Key (Ron), Garon Sims (Angie), and Trina Brown (Mark), all of Portland, TN, Steve Shuler (Michelle) and David Shuler, all of Bowling Green, KY, and Daniel Shuler of Goodlettsville, TN; her siblings, David Blunkall (Rhonda) of Murfreesboro, TN, Barbara Black of Lebanon, TN, Malcom Blunkall (Denise) of Bucksnort, TN, and Ricky Blunkall (and Rhonda), also of Tennessee; 22 grandchildren; several great- and great-great grandchildren; also survived by Tony’s family, Yonna Heath, Donna Lennox, “Jo” Simmons, Yoyo Tilley, and Karen Shuler.
