Funeral services for Maxie Marie Polk White, age 73, were held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. David Peeler officiating. Interment followed in the Union Cemetery. Mrs. White died Friday, December 16, 2011 at NHC. A native of Lawrence County, Tennessee Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Matthew and Lillie Mae Spears Polk. She was married to Raymond P. White who preceded her in death in 2003. Mrs. White retired as bookkeeper for the C. W. Kempkau Company in Nashville and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one son, Joe Paul White, Dickson; four daughters, Sherry (Marc) Rochelle and Janet (Steve) Tidwell, all of Dickson, and Pamela Marlene (Terry) Minton and Beth (Garry) Overbey, all of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
