Myra “Kaye” Bonds Nicks, age 85 of Dickson, TN, passed away on September 27, 2026, at Tristar Horizon Medical Center of Dickson.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 12 noon in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Thomas Southerland officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will follow on a later date in the Dickson Co. Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Kaye was born on October 25, 1940, to the late Willie Garrett Bonds and the late Lela Mae Presson Bonds in Camden, TN. She owned and operated a hair salon in Dickson for many years. She was also a member of the Water Street Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons: Brent Pensyl and Bryan Pensyl; and her siblings: Ford Bonds, Opal Hedge, Sally Fowler and Betty Jo Welsh.
Survivors include her grandchildren: Josh Pensyl of Dickson and Megan Pensyl of LaVergne; her brothers: James Bonds of Jackson, Tommy Bonds of Camden, and Wayne Bonds of Madison; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
