Peggy Elizabeth Fielder, age 70 of Dickson, TN died on September 18, 2026 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Ann Collins officiating. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Fielder Cemetery. For those desiring, memorials may be made to Eno United Methodist Church, The ALS Association, or The American Cancer Society.
Peggy was born on May 31, 1956 in Dickson, TN. She was a daughter of the late Selton and Helen Nash Fielder. Upon completion of high school, she received some of her education from Vanderbilt University. Her first position of employment was for former Dickson County Clerk, Cubby Brazzell. For many years she served in human resources with local businesses such as The Ranch and Quebecor Printing. A highlight of her career was being selected as a branch manager for Bank of Dickson.
Peggy was a faithful member of the Eno United Methodist Church. She loved her church and her community. Peggy supported and was a local volunteer for the American Cancer Society for over 30 years. She was a past President of the Dickson County Cancer Board. Peggy was also a proud supporter of the U.S. Figure Skating Association. She was an avid crafter, including knitting, cross stitching, crocheting, and flower arranging. Peggy often loved to read and did so even in her final days.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Garry Monroe Fielder.
She is survived by her loving siblings, Warren Fielder of Dickson, TN and Patricia Deason of Dickson, TN; niece, Monica Smithson (Wesley) of Dickson, TN; nephew Michael Fielder (LeAnne) of Dickson, TN; niece, Teena Sanders (Shane) of Snohomish, WA; nephew, Jason Deason (Jenni) of Yorktown, VA; great nephews, Dennis Hargrove of Portland, OR, Dustin Hargrove (Whitney) of Dickson, TN, Curtis Fielder of Dickson, TN; great nieces, Brittany Albright (Brandon) of Dickson, TN, and Jessica Smithson (Kyle Perales) of Burns, TN. Also surviving are several great great nephews and a great great niece.
