Ronald John Kimbley, age 69, of Dickson, TN, passed away on September 15, 2026. His wishes were to be cremated, and no services have been planned.
Ronald was born in Long Island City, NY, on January 4, 1957, to the late Clarence William Kimbley and Doreen Cecile Henderson Kimbley. In his childhood years, he was known as “Ronald”, as he got older, he was known as “Ronnie”, and as the years went by, he became known as “Cappy”. Ron worked many years as a press operator in the printing industry and was a long-shore fisherman for several years. Ron loved to dance, fish, and spend time at the beach. The ocean was his favorite spot to be.
Through all his work and travel, Ron had made friends all over, from Dickson, TN to Long Island, NY, Ireland and Australia. He was well traveled and a jack of all trades. He was known for being an “every man” who loved to tinker and garden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Kimbley and Lenny Kimbley.
He is survived by his wife, Katrina Fann, sons, Kristopher Fann, Thomas England (Courtney), his daughters, Mary Katherine Franz (T.J.), Kimberley Hall (Chris), Kristin Bryant (Donnie), brothers, Bill Kimbley (Diane), Richie Kimbley, Jimmy Kimbley (Pam), John Kimbley, sister, Christine McCleary (Bill), 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, his father in law, Ray Clifton, along with his four legged companion, Emory.

Katrina, my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband. I’m praying for you and your family, for comfort, strength, and peace as you walk through the days ahead. Please know you are very much in my thoughts and prayers.
We often start out by saying that Ron and I have not always been seeing either eye but I love him and I will miss him. He always called me mom. He always said I love you mom. He was so sweet about saying that that made me feel special. He has a way of doing that with everybody. He everybody’s lies in touch especially my daughter Katrina he has been everything to her and I want anyone reading this to understand what a strong support system he has been for her career and for her pursuit of knowledge in the Medical field he has always encouraged her never discouraged her been there and loved her children as much as he loved her well maybe not as much cause I don’t think there’s that much love in the entire universe but as I said, there’s not enough adjectives or adverbs in the United States English language to tell you how special you have been.
I love you a Ron. Have fun in heaven and God is good to you. Just as you have been to those folks that you’ve gone close to and are so fine of you my prayers are with my daughter right now then Katrina you are my heart and strong strong individual and I’m so proud of you and how far you’ve come in your lifetime.
All my love my oldest daughter and dear friend this two will pass in life goes on and yours will too but you’ll have such a great memory and Ron so many stories today so many laughs and maybe a few tears.
